FP7- Reasearch for the benefit of SMEs (Call FP7-SME-2009-1)

RAPPORT is a newly launched European project under the 7th European Framework Program. Project’s scope is to develop a reference guide of good practices of the existing European programs including benchmarks for strengthening the knowledge exchange and technology transfer between research community and SMEs, aiming to serve as a reference guide for embedding the more suitable practices and policies. Special emphasis is on SMEs with low absorption capacity, representing over 80% of all SMEs, making it one of the most attractive groups for policy intervention.
i) To develop a reference guide of good practices including benchmarks for strengthening the knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer between research organizations and SMEs;
ii)To develop a blueprint paper on new emerging forms of SMEs support for research with the involvement of large corporations in a context where open innovation and public-private partnerships have increasingly gained importance; and
iii)To engage policy-makers and other relevant stakeholders into a dialogue and ensure the 'translation' of the reference guide and the blueprint paper into a roadmap for embedding the more suitable practices and policies into the European Research Area and policy making.
KiNNO Consultants Ltd. is participating in the projects’ consortium consisting of 8 more partners :
- CENTRIM at the University of Brighton, Beacon Tech Ltd (Co-ordinator), Platinn, Lithuanian Innovation Centre, Science and Technology Policy Research at the University of Sussex, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Vodera Ltd.
KiNNO Consultants Ltd. has the overall responsibility for the Southern European countries and will lead the target group requirements.
