Rome, 'Mobility in the Mediterranean' Conference

More than 70 participants from different European and South-Mediterranean countries attended the MED MOBIL final Conference “Mobility in the Mediterranean: Results, Recommendations and the way forward”, hosted by Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma (UNINT), which was held in Rome, on 16-17 May 2016.

During the Conference, Mrs. Nadia Karra, on behalf of KiNNO who is a partner of the MED MOBIL project, was the moderator of the session entitled: "Presentation and Round table on MED MOBIL policy recommendations", where representatives of partners from Spain, Italy and Palestine presented and discussed policy recommendations to improve the mobility of students, staff, young people and other stakeholders among countries of the Euro-Mediterranean area. Some of the recommendations discussed focused on standardized mobility procedures, facilitation of VISA processes, financial management of mobility, preparatory activities, gender discrimination and others.

The Conference attended also a representative of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the ENPI CBC MED Programme, giving the opportunity to participants to learn more about the forthcoming ENI programme.
