KiNNO participated as facilitator at the FOCUS Transnational Agri-food Matchmaking Fair organized by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry on May 16th 2019, in Nicosia, Cyprus. During the event more than 45 stakeholders including Agri-food SMEs, independent producers, Universities, Business support organizations and Public Authorities from Balkan-Med area were brought together in order to identify the challenges of Agri-food sector, expand their experiences for innovation and broaden their network. Moreover, during the event the 22 Agri-food SMEs coming from Greece, Cyprus, Albania and Bulgaria participated in business to business meetings in order to identify joint opportunities for Agri-food Innovation and expand to new markets abroad.
The representation from the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN Cyprus), the Cyprus Technology University, the National Technical University of Athens, EMBIO Diagnostics Ltd. and KiNNO Consultants Ltd., had a significant contribution to the event with presentations emphasizing the need for research, development and innovation support services in Agri-food sector as well as highlighting the value of the FOCUS project outcomes to cover this need.
The event was organized under the framework of the operation of the four Regional Transnational Agri-Food Clusters established under FOCUS project. During the next period of project implementation KiNNO Consultants Ltd. as external expert of the Regional Transnational Agri-Food Cluster in Greece will focus on offering coaching, mentoring and capacity building services to local Agri-food SMEs, startups and entrepreneurs to validate their project ideas and develop their Feasibility Business Plans for Innovation in Agri-food industry.
