PowerUp!2020 is the challenge for start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs from Central and Eastern Europe whose products in the fields of energy, smart technologies, mobility are solving today's problems with tomorrow's technology.
The competition is organized by EIT InnoEnergy and the Greek part of the competition is implemented by KiNNO, the HUB of EIT InnoEnergy in Greece and in Cyprus.

but the challenge is open for all ideas outside of the box.
The best entrepreneurs will be invited to InnoEnergy programmes with multi-million Euro investment and wide support including:
- Development of team skills and competences
- Access to invaluable expertise and R&D facilities
- Development and commercialisation of products
- Internationalisation, business development and market expansion
- Access to European VCs, business angles and InnoEnergy funds
Exclusively for the eligible start-ups, InnoEnergy is holding a competition within the Challenge, with financial prizes up to 65.000€ and the title Start-up of the Year.

Selected teams were be invited to participate in the 2-day preparatory weekend bootcamp on April 4th and 5th in virtual format - due to the COVID-19 situation.
During this bootcamp every team worked closely with experienced coaches and mentors on their business case and prepared their pitch.
Country Final - Greece

Finalists were able to present their ideas in front of the jury of the competition and the audience and the top team selected was invited to take part in the Grand Final in Krakow on the 3rd of June 2020.
The Startup-of-the-Year in Greece was Solmeyea, a startup developing an innovative solution for photosynthetic vertical, controlled, intense microalgae cultivation process for premium algal bio-based proteins production, utilizing CO2 emissions.
Audience award was given to H2OnlyBattery, which is developing portable energy systems that are operating with water.
