🔹 IIndustrial Ecosystems: Building a Sustainable Workforce
Supporting the Greek National Industrial Strategy, KiNNO is developing a comprehensive strategic action plan to equip the Greek workforce with the skills needed for a sustainable economy. Emphasis is given to the importance of essential soft skills such as innovation and entrepreneurship, to support incorporation of eco-friendly practices and green & digital technologies in Greek Industrial Ecosystems. These skills are crucial in preparing the workforce to navigate climate challenges and technological change, while fostering an adaptable and resilient workforce for the Net Zero transition.
By providing actionable insights into workforce development, we aim to ensure that industries are equipped with the right skills to contribute to sustainable growth and the achievement of climate goals. KiNNO’s action plan focuses on creating a workforce capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving industrial landscape, where sustainability and adaptability are key.
🔹 COALition Project: Transforming Coal Regions into Thriving, Climate-Neutral Economies
KiNNO is also supporting the transformation of coal-dependent regions into climate-neutral economies through the COALition initiative. This project focuses on strengthening regional innovation ecosystems, empowering local workers, entrepreneurs, and researchers with the necessary green, digital, and entrepreneurial skills to accelerate the just energy transition.
Our work in coal regions includes providing targeted workshops and training programs to build the capacity of local communities and ensure they can successfully navigate the green transition. This includes fostering innovation and entrepreneurship to create new economic opportunities in sustainable sectors such as renewable energy and green technology.
