Kruibeke, Call for innovative ideas that use Earth Observation Data

The European Space Agency (ESA) has launched the Earth Observation Entrepreneurship Initiative (EOEI) andinvites entrepreneurs to submit innovative ideas that use Earth Observation (EO) data, which can turn grand challenges of society, emerging business needs and advances in digital technologies into new growth opportunities for Europe.

The selected teams of entrepreneurs will develop a fully consolidated ESA BIC Application Package (eBAP) including a technical proposal and a business plan, in order to apply for a full incubation package within the ESA Business Incubation Center (BIC) of their choice.

ESA plans to award up to 50 Innovation Vouchers worth 15,000 EURO each, enabling the selected applicants to procure data, tools and specific expertise and services to refine their idea and prototype products both on a technical and business model point of view.

The deadline for submission is the 19th of June 2016.
