Germany, INNOspace Masters Ideas Competition

The INNOspace Masters competition is organised by the Space Administration department of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as an embedded component of the INNOspace® initiative.

INNOspace Masters was launched in 2015 and is annually searching for forward-thinking ideas, research projects, demonstrators, prototypes, and innovative (but ready-to-implement) business concepts in the following subject areas: Satellite payloads for innovative applications and business models, platform concepts for more flexible subsystems, development and realisation of intelligent components capable of bearing information, automation, robotics, and troubleshooting in manufacturing, innovative, cost-efficient concepts for launch systems and ridesharing, improvements and new developments in NDI quality assurance methods, new standards for processes and interfaces as well as innovations all along the value chain of payloads, satellites and launchers.

The prizes will be awarded in different categories to meet different levels of innovative maturity and sophistication sponsored by world-class partners, including: the Space Administration department of the German Aerospace Center, Airbus Defence & Space, and Germany's two ESA Business Incubation Centres in Bavaria and Darmstadt. Along with extensive marketing/communication activities and networking contacts, the winners can look forward to technological and business-related services from first-rate partners.

From14 November 2016 to 13 February 2017, interested major enterprises, SMEs, start-ups, university, or non-university research institution (or even a consortium of organisations) are invited to submit their brilliant ideas and solutions for the next space generation in the second round of the INNOspace Masters competition.
