Programme MED /1st Call for Projects Result

On February 4th and 5th, the Selection Committee of the MED Programme approved amongst other the following projects, where KiNNO Consultants LTD. has been successfully involved, from the call of proposals launched in March 2008 :

1. "MET3"- Mediterranean Transnational Technology Transfer

The project will deliver a network on Technology Transfer targeted to MED needs and accommodate profiles ranging from the “blue chip coast” PACA to “low tech” Voreio Aigaio. MET3 aims to develop a modular toolbox for integrated TTT and thus facilitate exploitation of research results by taking into account technology and other “soft” aspects of the process.

The project's lead partner is National Hellenic Research Foundation and the Liaison Office of the University of the Aegean consists the second greek partner of the consortium.

KiNNO Consultants LTD. has successfully been engaged in the design,preparation and submission of the proposal & will work on behalf of its partners.

2. "TRANSit" - Mediterranean Intermodal Transit

The main objective of the project is to promote intermodality and interregional cooperation in the participant sites through the development and testing of an innovative e-platform that will provide all necessary information (departures/arrivals,capacities,transit availability etc.) to all interested parties (cargo shipping companies,road and rail cargo operators etc).

The partnership scheme consists of three greek partners : South Aegean Region (Lead Partner), University of the Aegean and Dodecanese Prefecture.

 3. "WiNNOVATE"- Mediterranean Wireless Innovation

WiNNOVATE aims at strengthening the innovation capacity of regional and municipal authorities in Greece, Spain, Italy and Slovenia by transferring knowledge and best practices, as well as coordinating policies, on the introduction and proliferation of wireless applications and services for citizens, government, and economic development actors.

The project will be leaded by the Prefecture of Larisa, while the Athens University of Economics and Business will provide, as partner, the relevant scientific extertise.

KiNNO Consultants LTD. has coordinated the preparation & submission of both proposals & will work on behalf of their partners.
