SEE Programme/ 1st Call for Projects Results

A number of 42 high-quality and innovative transnational cooperation projects have been selected by the Monitoring Committee of the South East Europe Programme during its meeting in Vienna on 10-11 March 2009. The funds allocated to the 1st call projects amount to roughly 37 % of the Programme overall ERDF budget allocated to projects.

KiNNO Consultants LTD. has been successfully engaged in the preparation of the proposal TECH.FOOD & will work on behalf of its partners, National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) & Athens Chamber of Commerce and Indusrty (ACCI).

The project TECH.FOOD tackles the weaknesses of the SEE agro-food sector due to the scarcity of innovation caused by the lack of links between researchers and enterprises as well as of institutional capacity in favoring the technological transfer. The project aims at building the R&TD and innovation capacity of the agrofood sector and at providing networks and tools to foster technical innovation in food quality production. Accordingly, the project foresees the establishment of a transnational horizontal network among 7 regional “Technological Transfer Nodes”, linking local institutions, researchers and enterprises. Moreover, the project applies enterprise-oriented tools and systems for achieving an effective application of innovation in the agro-food sector and promoting common projects and business among research bodies, institutions and enterprises. Project will positively contribute to the Lisbon Strategy facilitating entrepreneurship and knowledge economy at transnational level.
