ESA Technology Transfer Programme

Client: ESA – European Space Agency
Starting Date: 06/11/2012
End Date: 30/04/2020

The project focuses on KiNNO’s participation in ESA’s Technology Transfer Network (TTN), designed to bridge the gap between space and non-space industries. As the first Greek organization to join the TTN, KiNNO plays a key role in connecting space technologies with sectors such as Energy, Maritime, Agrofood, ICT, Health, Materials, and Manufacturing. The network unites brokers across ESA Member States to collaborate with local industries and national technology-transfer initiatives, facilitating the spin-off of space technologies into non-space markets. Through this network, KiNNO fosters innovation and strengthens the connection between space and non-space industries.

KiNNO responsibility:

  • Asset Management: Identifying commercialization opportunities for space technologies.
  • Networking & Matchmaking: Connecting space and non-space industries (Energy, Maritime, Agrifood, Materials, Manufacturing, Information & Communication, Health) to facilitate technology transfer.
  • Users & Customers Discovery: Helping non-space organizations discover relevant space technologies.
  • Soft-landing: Assisting with the marketing and positioning of space technology products under the “Space Solutions” trademark.
