The “ESASTAP Plus” project supported the deepening of scientific and technological cooperation between Europe and South Africa, with a strong focus on innovation. It facilitated South Africa’s participation in Horizon 2020 and promoted European involvement in South African programmes. The project enriched bilateral policy dialogue, identified priority cooperation areas, and aligned research policies among Member States and Associated Countries. Additionally, it fostered synergy between EU cooperation initiatives and expanded collaboration to include innovation partnerships.
