The FOCUS project aims to establish transnational cooperation among agri-food businesses, research institutions, technology providers, policymakers, and customers to enhance technology transfer and food innovation. By promoting networking and structured exchanges, the project seeks to improve the competitiveness and international reach of agrifood SMEs. It supports these businesses in adopting new technologies, business models, and introducing market-driven products and marketing strategies. The goal is to drive innovation within the agri-food sector, fostering collaboration and helping SMEs access new markets and opportunities, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and competitive food industry.

KiNNO responsibility:

  • Market Analysis: Conducting sectorial mapping and market analysis for the Agrifood sector.
  • Innovation Ecosystem Mapping: Designing and operating an innovative Agrifood cluster in the Peloponnese region and building an Agrifood innovation ecosystem.
  • R&I Strategies & Action Plans: Developing an innovation strategy for adopting new business ideas for 25 Agrifood SMEs and creating regional policy recommendation roadmaps for RIS3.
  • Economic Feasibility Studies: Conducting feasibility studies for technological uptake in 25 Agrifood SMEs.
  • Policy Recommendations: Creating regional policy roadmaps and recommendations for fostering Agrifood sector innovation.
  • Innovation Development Roadmaps: Developing an educational toolkit for SMEs on innovation management and entrepreneurship.
  • Technology Transfer Methodology: Developing Agrifood technology transfer methodologies to enhance innovation adoption.
  • Innovation Support Structures’ Sustainability Plans: Creating sustainability plans for innovative Agrifood clusters.
