The project aims to create a sustainable platform for implementing the AU-EU Research and Innovation Partnership, as outlined in the FNSSA Roadmap. Building on initiatives like RINEA and CAAST-Net, the project supports the long-term EU-AU Research and Innovation Partnership for Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture. The objective is to establish a Europe-Africa International Research Consortium (IRC) to create a sustainable structure for research and innovation in FNSSA. This will be achieved by increasing synergies between actors and initiatives, developing a knowledge base and learning environment, and establishing a long-term governance and funding mechanism for the platform.
