The project aims to establish a transnational Green Shipbuilding Cluster in the Adriatic-Ionian region to address the decline in demand for shipbuilding due to increased competition. By fostering cooperation among key industry players and promoting innovation, NEORION will facilitate the adoption of innovative technologies tailored to shipbuilding needs, including offshore wind, ocean energy, new materials, and specialized vessels. The project brings together partners from Greece, Italy, Croatia, and Slovenia, strengthening their capacity for transnational cooperation and diversifying the industry through technology partnerships. The focus is on creating a sustainable and competitive shipbuilding sector, enhancing the region’s global market position, and driving the green transformation of the maritime industry.
