Commercialization is the weakest piece of the R&D skills of students, who are often able to overcome engineering issues unsolved for generations, but unable to transform them into a product or put together a team with diverse skills, who will help them commercialize it at least to a level, where both the students and their supporting ecosystem would achieve economic success, they all desire.
SUCReD aims to enhance the quality and the quantity of skilled students to boost the commercialization of university R&D through a scalable digital solution in the form of e-learning modules, to increase the digital resilience and scalability of our university activities as well in supporting the commercialization of R&D. SUCReD will stimulate innovative learning and teaching practices, through matching the students’ needs with self-paced, widely available curriculum, which will be directly linked to the university and will help them connect with incubators, technology-transfer centers. To ensure the practical part of the curriculum and the potential match with the market, it will be co-developed by 3 Innovation Hubs (SMEs), who actively participate in the further support of innovations and are actively working in the ecosystem with start-ups, investors and industry players.
SUCReD plans to pilot train 180 students, researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs (60 in each country), along with training 18 “train-the-trainer” individuals in the pilot program. The project’s outcomes will be shared with all interested partners and organizations. All digital training and teaching materials will be freely available to the public.
